About Me-e-e

I am not ashamed to say that I am a 51-year-old Swiftie! Taylor Swift has been a huge blessing in my life, able to come up with the perfect lyrics to describe emotions I was experiencing at just the right time for me to move through some of the hardest times of my life. Like most Swifties, I consider her to be my friend and therapist more than the pop icon that most people know her as. Oh, I've also been an EMS Provider for 34 years. I began my EMS career as a volunteer EMT at Fredericksburg Rescue Squad when I started at Mary Washington College. I'm sure back then they all thought I was "So High School" but I quickly discovered that EMS was my passion and would become my "Endgame". By the time I graduated in 1995, I was a Cardiac Technician and officially began my EMS Career with the Fredericksburg Fire Department. I went on to obtain my National Registry Paramedic and Instructor certifications from the American Heart Association, as well as my Virginia Office of EMS Education Coordinator Certification. Throughout my EMS career, in addition to Fredericksburg, I have also worked at Dahlgren Rescue Squad, Stafford County Emergency Medical Services and just celebrated 21 years at PHI AirCare 2. I have also volunteered through much of this time at Fredericksburg Rescue Squad, Fairview Beach Fire Department and White Oak Volunteer Rescue Squad where I am still an active member. For many years, I co-sponsored a large educational conference in the Fredericksburg area called PACES (Pre-Hospital And Critical Care Education Symposium) along with my colleagues at AirCare and Mary Washington Hospital. Last year was the final PACES, and as I gave the opening speech, my mind was already racing with all of these Taylor Swift themed concepts. Then Taylor released the Tortured Poets Department just as I was toying with the idea of starting my own EMS education business. "What if I told you none of it was accidental? What if I told you [she's] a Mastermind?"

Official Disclaimer: All of the brilliant lyrics used throughout this site are direct or indirect quotes of Taylor Swift and intended to be clever references to lyrics or song titles throughout her discography. I am merely paying tribute to Taylor, whom I believe to be the greatest poet and wordsmith of my lifetime (and she has the awards to prove it!). I am not here to argue this point with anyone. If you "Hate It Here" and choose not to engage in my services, I'm OK with that. Just "Shake It Off" and move on to another EMS Training Site. But if you are "...Ready For It?" then, "1,2,3, Let's Go, ..."
